Israel’s Consul General in Mumbai, Kobbi Shoshani, on Wednesday expressed strong support for India’s Operation Sindoor, calling it a rightful act of self-defence and a powerful message to terrorists. Applauding the precision strikes carried out by the Indian Armed Forces in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Shoshani said the operation sends a clear signal that terrorism will not be tolerated—whether in India or elsewhere.
“India has the right to self-defence. This is a clear message not only to terrorists but also to the world,” said Shoshani while speaking to ANI. He described the strikes as both justified and necessary, adding, “I’m very proud of this operation.”
Shoshani also praised the name “Operation Sindoor” for its symbolic resonance.
“It touched my heart. It’s a very sophisticated and inspiring name. It’s dramatic, and very much to the point,” he noted, commending India’s choice of a name that reflects both emotion and purpose.
Commenting on the global implications of the strike, Shoshani stated, “Terror groups must understand that such actions will invite retaliation. Whether in the Middle East or India, the world will not tolerate terror.”
Earlier on Wednesday, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh had stated in a press briefing that nine terror camps were targeted and destroyed with precision, ensuring no civilian casualties or damage to infrastructure.
“Operation Sindoor was launched to deliver justice to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack and their families,” Singh said.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri added that the Pahalgam attack was a calculated act of brutality aimed at disrupting the return of peace to Kashmir, with victims executed in front of their families in a deliberate act of psychological terror.
India’s execution of Operation Sindoor marks a significant assertion of its counterterrorism policy and has received growing international backing, including from close allies like Israel.
